Step 1: Create a concept
Work with your team(or by yourself) to create a high level concept about a new business idea, and iron out the details so that you would be able to answer questions about it.
Step 2: Create a video
Create a 60-90 second video about your pitch idea. Here are some general tips and ideas of what you can include:
- Focus on the problem, solution, impact, and unique value proposition. These should be very clear by the end of the video.
- Keep the video interesting and memorable. Do not overwhelm the listener by lots of stats.
- Keep slides and written text to a minimum.
- Identify your users/customers. Who are they, and what is their current struggle? How will you get your product to market and in the hands of end-users?
- Your team is very important. Why you are the best team to develop the business/product?
- Minimize risk in your business idea and demonstrate a roadmap for your vision.
- Some things you can include: problem, solution, demo, market analysis, business model, competition, your team, and future vision.
- 60-90 seconds is a very short time to cover all the aspects of the business idea. You will most likely have to leave less important information out of the pitch. As a result, be prepared to answer questions well, especially on topics that you left out!
- Every second is valuable. Use it wisely, and remember to talk clearly at a comfortable pace!
Once you've created your video, upload it to YouTube as an Unlisted Video for privacy purposes.
